Basil’s Fine Foods is a design, construction and fitout project that features high end finishes and expert space planning to provide a great customer experience.
In 2012, Diverse Project Group completed the fitout of Basil’s Fine Foods and won our first national ASOFIA Interior Fitout Award. The redesigned store was an immediate success and has become a foodie icon in Perth’s Northern suburbs.
In 2021, Basil again approached us to extend the space into the adjacent tenancy, this time with a full service cafe, back of house kitchen and food prep area. In addition, a mezzanine floor above the kitchen provides a contemporary space for meetings and presentations.
John Gullotto, Diverse Project Group’s Managing Director was able to bring his considerable experience in high end grocery retail to value add to the project in several key areas. Floors in all food prep areas were treated with a special hard wearing, easy cleaning epoxy formula and coved to seal against the tiled walls while wall mounted hose stations are spread throughout the back of house. This makes for quick and easy cleaning at the end of each shift – a huge boost to productivity in a busy food retail environment.
